Accelerated class requirements All students in this course are ahead of grade level, to maintain a slot in this course you must meet an average of 80% for each quarter.

Additional Help If you have any questions or need any extra help I will be available before school at 7:15 a.m. and after school until 3:15. Please speak with me in advance to be sure I am available and am not scheduled to be at a meeting elsewhere in the building or district.
Textbooks The textbooks are fairly new, please be careful with them, any students whose books have damages other than normal wear and tear will be assessed fines at the end of the school year. Textbooks on DVD are available from Media Mike.

Homework (20%)
- Expect daily homework assignments. Work must be shown.
- Homework is due at the start of class the next day
- Each assignment will be worth 4 points
- Late assignments will only be worth half credit
- If absent, you will have 2 days to turn in any assignment for each day absent
- You will have time at the end of each class to begin working on your assignment
- A note card for formulas and examples will be allowed for each chapter test.
- Retakes (available for those who scored below 70% on a test)
- Highest possible score is 70%
- In order to be eligible to retake a test, you need the following:
- All assignments for the chapter need to be handed in by test day
- Spend one day before/after school with Mrs. Quale to review math concepts
- Create a note sheet for the retake test
- The retake must be completed outside of regular school hours within one week of the original test being handed back to the students
- Each week there will be ten participation points available
- In order to receive the days participation points you must be working on all problems throughout the entire class time
- You must interact appropriately during class, volunteering answers, not distracting others etc….
- You must show your work on paper.
